I really dig this Nick. I'm always amazed at how you put these together and they cover all the bases so well. I'm really curious how you did this one do you have a controller or are you playing these parts with your thumb?regardless I really enjoyed listening to this man.

Know this one very well, was this a pure Garageband production? There are some theremin sounding parts in there which are fabulous and the way you build these up musically is always is so impressive

Vocally this is excellent, not easy as you say, but you nailed it, and you especially impressed me with the way in which you handled those falsetto parts

I agree, very, very difficult to sing. I had a half/idea to cover it, but surely James would have hated me for asking him to sing...Nick, you solved the problem!

This is one of those songs that went its own way.  I started off with an idea of doing a slower, darker version with drums, bass and real guitar in a kind of Pixies / Sisters of Mercy style.  Came out completely different.

do you have a controller or are you playing these parts with your thumb?

I don't have a controller, it's all done on my iPhone (5).  Which really means I'll do a bit on the keyboard or whatever then spend a while moving the little green oblongs about till it sounds like I want it.  It's an OCD thing probably.

It's just the Upright Bass voice in the bass section.  Quite often I'll process the bass sounds by putting them through guitar amps or merging a couple together.  This one is straight though.

I'm sure James could have done a much better job at it than my effort.  I really shouldn't go anywhere near falsetto.  I did think about redoing the vocal until I realised that it probably wouldn't be any better the second time.
