been messing around with my juno di today, this is the second song from said messing around.

come rescue me
from isolation
from this loneliness and boredom
i've been talking to myself again
whispering sweet nothings
to no one
but myself
trying to remember
all my thoughts and memories
trying to remember
desires and wistful reveries
come rescue me
come rescue me
save me
from myself
and all my demons
and all those dark secrets
still haunting me
come rescue me
etc
come rescue me

All that spacey, dreamlike soundscape from the Juno is a great backdrop for this very introspective ballad james.

It floats. It hovers. It's a song in The Mist....  and a thought provoking one as well.

I like the direct recording. The keys sound great and the up front vocal mixing lends itself to the immediacy of the performance. I really like the last lines:

save me
from myself
and all my demons
and all those dark secrets
still haunting me
come rescue me

I really like this. Straight from the off it has a dreamy, warm embrace. Love how the piano part drifts in and out. It's like a song that sits in the twilight world between sleep and waking. Beautiful!

I can only say that I agree 100% with every word Pine wrote.
