I have no doubt there are millions of folks in the world who would be bored to tears with my lifestyle.
That's O.K. Personally, i love it, even moreso now that i am retired from FT employment and need never leave home unless i want to...and i rarely do..unless i need to make a beer run  ;D

"Three chords and the truth"...that about sums up this one.

Up on the Farm
w/m by pine
Taylor acoustic
Deering 5 string banjo
Squire jazz bass

Once upon a time i lived in the city..nights were wild and the girls were pretty...made alot of money in a damn short time..but never got used to waitin' in a line

Ch: Up on the Farm, Up on the Farm, most of my friends live in the barn
Do some thinkin', do a little drinkin', set on the porch and do alot a pickin'

Instrumental break

Well it took about an hour to drive across town..smile at a stranger and they look down..sports in a dome everybody's on the phone...nice place to visit, but i'm a goin' home

Chorus

Bridge: Got a few chickens lay big brown eggs..newborn goats on wobbly legs...cats in the barn, sleepin' in the hay..life is good a livin' this way

Instrumental break

Bridge

Well livin' in the country it works for me...do what ya want and be who ya be..The dye is cast and the seeds been sown..Life is Good when ya grow yer own...

It was easy to envision your avatar singing this. Much like the rodent, I have been drinking this evening. Great lyrics and a nice acoustic tone.

Fun post. Any song with a banjo is okay in my book. I just don't want to hear any on my kayak camping trip this weekend.

Your living my dream brother, without the farm I guess. That sounds a bit like work even if your retired. I've felt pulled to the mountains for 20 years, log cabin, beautiful land, no one around...great song brother!

P.S love that banjo
Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Wow that was amazing. Loved the lyrics. Great tune and production. Not sure that I could cope being so isolated, in fact in the UK, you can typically walk to a population centre within a hour or so. Sounds like you are loving life. Great stuff. The banjo was an awesome touch :-)

Great song, love the banjo. Your lifestyle sounds peaceful, it would be great to just do whatever takes your fancy each day, enjoy!
