Well what a bloody great job her,I'm absolutely in love with this mix.
The great thing about this site is things like this and how we get together to create things like this.

Now that's a sick groove and along with those silky vocals, equal up to one kick ass tune.

This song is so good on so many levels from the toe tapping melody that hooks you to the outstanding vocals Hats off to you all

I don't know where Old Rotten Head has buggered off to (well, I do actually - he's down the pub!) but I'd just like to say thank you on behalf of 'the group' and ourselves, and I hope we passed the audition! As is often the case with this music-making lark, one's sub-conscious has a habit of continuing to tick away in the background even when you 'think' you're done. I admit this current version was somewhat thrown together in order to meet a self-imposed deadline (I promised ORH it would be finished by midnight yesterday!) Tonight I went back to it & completely rerecorded the bass line PLUS I've added some harmonica which I feel really helps glue the whole thing together nicely & enhances the mood & vibe.

Finally I (think!) I've now managed to get this composition down in a form that I'm actually happy with. I've still gotta re-mix it mind so I'll not get too excited but, going from tonight's additions, to my ears at least it's sounding really rather good. Let's see what ORH makes of it tomorrow (once he's sobered up - winky face!)

Doesn't sound thrown-together to me at all...it's got a very cohesive sound to it. Be interested to hear any further additions, too. Killer collab, gents!

Thanks Cuthbert. I really didn't have very long at all to mix this current version (I was still recording parts right up to my midnight deadline and, as you'll know, mixing sessions should be just that ie: for mixing! As a rule, I don't like to confuse the 'Tracking' & 'Mixing' processes 'cause I tend to wear different hats for both!) The next update will be, erm, 'even more' more cohesive shall we say!  Thanks for your interest. STAY TUNED!!

AARRGHH!  Sorry Rotten Heid! I'm desperately trying to get what I feel (could be!) THE definitive version of our song up on here but have just noticed I have slight digital clipping on my stereo master buss ("Ouch!") Off to the Audio Quack for some medication ... BACK SOON hopefully with the final mix including a new improved Double Bass part (with lots of nice glissando slides!) & a good ol' tooting riff on my battered Lee Oskar moothy - hopefully it'll be worth the wait (mate!)
