I made the semi-serious suggestion to Hook about doing this track for his G submission in this fest, mainly because of his habit of recording in a car.  He did a Genesis song instead and it occurred to me that I could do it.

So that thought germinated and then one day I was listening to Psycho by System of a Down and I started to think about using that song as a swatch, using the colours and textures to inform my cover (seeing as how Gary Newman now does that kind of industrial metal now).

I was lucky enough to see GN play the Pleasure Principle album on tour a few years ago.

I love this reinterpretation of the old classic - that's some fine playing (those harmonized leads are fab), excellent singing, keys, and production. Big, BIG sound...it's a winner!
