Only 8 to go! Spent a little time producing this one a bit, not sure why at all. REM was a very important band to a young, impressionable Hook and the IRS years still ramble through my head quite often. I stopped following them after Automatic for the people, so missed this album altogether. Anyhow...Done mostly in the car (except drums) on the 008. I did the live uke take with one on board mic and the uke going into the 008 via the Line six Pocket pod. drums are my kit and everything else is Thumbjam.

1 uke/vocal
1 uke
1 drums (stereo)
1 cello (TJ)
1 pedal steel (TJ)
1 muted trumpet (TJ)

I'm happy you did spend that extra time producing this, adds so many dimensions.  Very nicely done.
Overdrive - Distortion - Hyperactivity
Yesterdays shatter, tomorrows don't matter

Love the production on this (although the trumpet seems a tad intrusive). This ebbs and flows so nicely. Damn, you are prolific.

REM is one of those bands I keep meaning to go back to discover. The hits didn't do much for me, and I never bothered to dig deeper. I know I need to, though.

Damn brother, I am in awe that you would attempt an A to Z, for a fest that you not very inspired by. I'm even more in awe that you will probably get there now that you've broken the back of it.

Another fine, fine cover.
