Crap!!!! My Dp008 is making this noise???

 So i I noticed a little crackling or a pop or 2 on my "Build" recording, it was raining, I record in a car & I passed it off as ambient sound. I was recording my "I" submission for PeelFest and noticed without a doubt that the 008 is making some noises. I recorded about 20 seconds for you to hear, it's the quiet clicking& some static. At about 6 seconds in I turn up the mic levels, you hear a few more clicks and some static & it stops foe a few seconds then starts again. Would love to know what you guys/gals think!
It seems to me to be internal, I plan on emailing Tascam. I don't think I've had it a year & I love it so hopefully they will help me out. In the mean time I do have a MBR that I was trying to sell, lucky for me I didn't try to hard!

It's quite a regular noise, could be interference (electrical noise from the car), may be the mike. Do you get the noise with an external mike, or with the mike switched off?

The static sounds like a dry solder joint maybe on the mic input chain.

Not sure about the clicking.  sounds like a tape mechanism, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't have one.  Cross-talk from a metronome?

Bummer though, I hate it when stuff like that happens

I don't think it's from the car, it's usually off and I've never had the issue before. I initially thought it was the batteries were dying but that theory proved incorrect. It seems to be there no matter how I set the input, mix or line in. I think it's a solder also, I emailed tasxam and sent them the audio this morning, haven't heard back.
I did however just record my I submission with the MBR! I forgot how easy it was to catch LITLR recordings with it! I will post later when I get home!
