Hello!
This is my 14 year old daughters live cover of 'Woman' by The 1975 in which she plays acoustic guitar and sings
This is our first recording using the BR-800 and we would like some advice on controlling the levels using the input sens, as we had no lights on the recording levels and I thought we would!
Thanks for listening, hope you enjoy!

Wow, she's a natural. Sounds great singing and playing. Brill.

Recording sounds fine to me.

(You might ask her to tune her guitar a little next time)

Good choice of song, too.

Oh your daughter sounds great and yes, a good choice of song. She reminds me of Kate Nash, I'd like to hear her do something a bit more quirky. Does she write her own songs?

Excellent, the recording levels sound fine to me and your daughters vocal is top class, it all sounds so wonderfully natural and effortless.

Love to hear more like this please  ;)

Hi,

This was a really good first recording.  Your daughter did great job.

There are lots of posts on how to use the BR800 under the Home Recording section.  I stsrted using nthe BR800 about 18 months ago and I have found it to be a lot fun to use.

Great job playing & singing. She has a strong & engaging voice &strums quite well. The levels sound pretty good for a live recording but you should be able to see the level on the screen. If you want more control over the levels of guitar and voice separately, I think you can record 2 tracks simultaneously on the 800. So plug the guitar in (if it/you have a pickup) on channel & use a mic in the other for the vocal. You will have some guitar on the vocal but not enough & you can really control the mix of a live take. You can also EQ each separately. More than anything though she needs to tune that guitar, if you sing that well you need your instruments tuned!
Rock On!

Hello Hilary, this is Greenreverb's daughter!
Thank you for the compliments about my cover! The comparison to Kate Nash was really cool, thanks!!!
I don't write my own songs because I can't write lyrics particularly well...I would like to though!

Thanks again! :D

Very nice song/performance.  I would like to hear more of this also.

The recording seems fine to me as well.  I don't know which lights aren't working but the more you play around with your 800, the more comfortable you'll get with it.

Well done, both of you.
