I agree, that last version hits all the marks.

I'm not a record company executive or A&R man (nor would I want to be), but I tend to agree with his sentiment - try to leave your listeners wanting more. That said, there's always the exception to the rule, but generally, I think it's a good rule.

I agree... Give your publisher what he wants... For now... When you make it big start your own label... Heck start your own now... You've got the goods. Then you can release what ever length song you wish. I wander how many publishers Pink Floyd went through to get an album release??? LOL.
