Hi all, still decorating but the job grew and grew and I had to have the hall, stairway and landing replastered which I'm now waiting on to dry, hence this post. I nicked part of this one from Steve Millers "Swingtown" which is great and you should give it a listen, the mans a great in my book. Anyhow, you must forgive the excruciatingly banal lyrics and I hope you enjoy and i hope to catch up with some listening soon.  Willie

Every day I sit by my window
Just to watch you pass by
And every night well I dream of you
And when I wake I wanna cry

How can I tell her I need her
What must I do to make her mine
Should I send it in a letter
Will the postman be in time

She's already here in my mind
It's just a matter of time, time

Inst

All I want is just a smile from you
That's all I want just for a start
But then I need the rest of you
And you can trust me with your heart.

Nice song, i enjoyed the mood... it ticked along nicely. If its any comfort, I specialise in lyrics that are truly painful to listen to / read, but sometimes i think it might seem worse to ourselves especially if you are not comfortable with being a lyricist, which i am not. Anyhow i really enjoyed this!!!

Nice song. I like the way the guitar drives the song.

Great song, Willie.  Fine guitar solo and the lyrics are far from bad.

I thought about decorating the hall, stairs and landing - but decided to move to a bungalow instead!  One of my better decisions.  I've never looked back since.  Or rather - I've never looked up since...
