I tend to agree a little with Greeny's "The Band" comp...

however i will go with a more Canadien comp here.  The guitar work on this is really a delight.  The harmonica is very late 60's into early 70's hippy rock, also the guitars.  Bass works and drums...
vocals are exc for this song...
interesting lyrics...

the site is better, much better with The BB's here...

I didn't really hear Zappa here but then again I listened to only several of his albums about a hundred times... he had a lot of material so I missed alot of his music... he is worth listening too though more for his dark humor.

Cool song. Love the crisp, clean guitars. Has a real late 60s, San Francisco sound to me - that Jefferson Airplane, Moby Grape era. Well done.
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

hmmm, this reminds me of Randy Bachman and Neil Young playing together... that lead is got elements and sounds of both and so do the vocals...
btw, both artists i really enjoy so this song sounds great...
and it is a special song to the writer and that shines through in the delivery.

on a side note... this will be a fun song to practice drums too... btw, that lead is spectacular...
