Happy Guitars

I finally had a chance to give this a good listen.  The early guitar line sounds like a bagpipe line to me, possibly where the celtic sound is coming from.  This is like jazz the way it layers and moves around between moods.  Very original and good stuff.  The way that you describe how you "wrote" this is very similar to how I work on a lot of my songs.  I start with a small basic idea or chord change and record it and keep going form there, most things getting recorded in one take with very little pre-planning.  It has worked for me and it sounds like this method works for you.  It is like you get caught up in pure inspiration, I love the feeling when it works, but I find I cannot force anything.  It sounds like you were caught up and had a blast doing this, the joy is very much there.

WOW This was just great.  I did make you feel happy.  Needs happy words. All the different parts going on and you put it together so well. Brilliant

Geir you have written alot of great music and that is easily noticable, but one of the things that I always notice is how well you play that guitar. I know that is a secondary thing, because we are more interested in the song than the way it is played sometimes.
When I hear the playing in "the stairs are falling", I can't help but be stunned at your level of  proficiency.
Impressive!
