Beautifully done. When you say the vox were done "in the raw", is that with no effect at all? What settings did you use, because they sound really good. Nice and clear but not at all thin. I'd like to experiment with that. You should encourage your GF to do more singing - she's got a great voice and it complements yours well.

I do have a slight niggle though (Nigel by name, niggle by nature, sorry). The "everyday" in the left hand channel jumps out a bit and overpowers the nice harmony with you and your girlfriend on the chorus. I'd be tempted to pull that back a bit. But that's a minor thing, it still sounds really great.

Cheers,

Nigel

There's no effects used at all in the recording (i.e. the effects were set to 'off'). One layer of electro-acoustic was through a lead, and the other was through the mic. I know what you mean about the left panned vocal, but it's hard to change now as I recorded it 'live' at the same time as the guitar part. The whole thing is pretty raw / basic, which is why I went for the 'live' effect on Mastering.

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments - really means a lot  :)

Excellent work! "Frampton Comes Alive' was the first album that I bought with money I earned myself, you really took me back there. I heard Frampton once say that he wrote "Baby I Love Your Way' and "Show Me The Way" all in the same day. That must have been one HELL of a good day!

Oh well ........

Nice Mr "G"  I really enjoy playing leads over it to warm up for the day. Love Frampton and love the simplicity behind your work. Very clean and open, resulting in a smooth rendition of a great cover tune.

If you like check out Hold em poke from double cross, the live march 27th recordings. I have been added as a new member. You may especially find the song Neighhbor Louise interesting as I let my inner Frampton come out that night and had a blast doing it.
