I've had a bit of a songwriting dry spell so when Finn Bardsen invited me to add lyric and vocals to his rocker, I jumped on it. Finn did all the music and I did the vocals.

This primeval trail.... becomes stranger at every turn
Tamping down the compost.... with each step forward
The redwoods tower.... like New York skyscrapers
Their branches lined.... with a thousand needles of music

I hear a voice in the distance
It's calling a song to me

A water fall..... it's sweaty mist clears my mind
On it runs...... through a meadow to the sea
A million miles..... of exhaustion brings exhilaration
As I break the bonds...... of old growth hesitation

And it's telling me to sing along

Wow, loving the crunching riffage and the whole relentless intensity of the song.

Superb energetic vocal delivery.... only listened to the original version and thought it sat perfectly in the mix.

The breakdown just before the 3 minute mark was a nice touch allowing a slight rest in proceedings before it exploded into that sea of guitars outro, some really wonderful playing in there.

Great song, melodic and heavy as hell.
