Sad news indeed. Tommy was considered the Ramone who "had it all together" by the rest of the band.

Sad news. That means from now on the Ramones only exist in history.

If any one band could be considered game changers, it was the Ramones.

I remember when me and my friend bicycled (30 kms) to the neighbour town to by new records in October '77. That friend of mine told that The Ramones is a new band of Punk rock scene. I said: "what is punk rock...." Later on, I knew what Punk was... So, I bought their debut album and bicycled that 30 km back to home. It was rainy and cold. My life changed after that record.

I can't really add more than to what's already been said. Like the posts above, The Ramones changed my life too and for the better.

I have recently gone on a Ramones gas attack. I have Rocket to Russia, Subterranean jungle and a 4 disc compilation
already. so I got End of the Century DVD which I will watch tonight and It's alive, also on DVD which I will watch ( 4 hours of it) over the coming weeks. Hey Ho let's go. R.I.P The Ramones.
Sweet young thing aint sweet no more.
