I just heard about this!

About a year ago I was listening to Division Bell when it hit me for the first time that the closing song (High Hopes -- which I LOVE) is a beautiful "good-bye" from Pink Floyd, lyrically and otherwise... basically saying that the adventurous, creative spirit never dies but this is it for Pink Floyd.

Moments ago I saw on the news that Pink Floyd is releasing a new album.  My first reaction was sheer joy.  My second was "that invalidates their good-bye from High Hopes".

BUT the album title uses the last line from High Hopes:  The endless river / forever and ever...

...which is totally continuing the thought they left us with: that the adventurous/creative spirit never dies, and even though we said good bye... it's still alive!

FuzzFace

Listening to it now.

It's basically unused output from jam sessions, stuff that ended up on the cutting room floor, so-to-speak... some of the licks eventually were used on the album

Would I rather have this than not have it?  Yes

Would I recommend it to anyone?  Probably not.

Yes, I ran out and bought it, just because it is Pink Floyd and I need to keep the shrine up to date.  ;D
Have not had a chance to listen to it yet, bugger work is trying to kill me with berserk hours I am thinking.

Is that not a kick in the old wooden teeth ?  :o

Didn't even have a glimmer of interest of getting this. But now I'm kind of interested. A damn fine band in its entirety.
