After the flat tire this song came...it's self explanatory. Also done using my phone & garageband at the Library on the side walk on the right side of the building.

At The Library
written & performed by Hook
I'm at the library
Named after John F Germany
Inside they'll have a check for me
For a gig I did yesterday
Yesterday they did not pay
Which is unusual I should say
The gig I did yesterday
Was at another library much farther away

I've always felt secure
I could count on the libraries check for sure
But yesterday they did not pay
So in downtown Tampa I sit and wait

At the library
Named after John F Germany
Next to a sign that says
no loitering
Because of urban decay
People's homes and lives taken away
No ones  encouraged to stay
Outside this magnificent library

At the library
Named after John F Germany
I didn't think I would be
Arriving so early
My contact be here till two
And I had other things planned to do
A flat tire and a micro spare
Has limited the mileage my car wear

I've always felt secure
I could count on the libraries check for sure
But yesterday they did not pay
And that's left me unable to pay for the tire I need to truly be on my way

So Im at the Library
Named after John F Germany
Inside will be a check for me
For a gig I did yesterday

I did get my check, & I am still on the donut. I must have hit a curb real hard and bent the rim to an unfixable state. I've ordered one from a junkyard (the dealership wanted $900 for just the rim) but it won't be here till Monday. I have gigs today that I have  to get to & tomorrow my wife is off work till Tuesday so I'll use her car. All that just for a song ::). Thanks for listening!

I commented earlier and it got deleted - not so smart phone (or possibly not so smart user, ho-hum).
Listened in the garden with Mrs B, and its a masterful delivery. You should do an album of these, these are killer. I love the little autobiographical stories in song form. It sound like you had a pretty miserable day but it produced two brilliant songs. More please (but not the bad day to go with it!)  ;D ;D

Autobiographification on!

There's a concept album in that.  A series of seemingly little events over the course of a day with an underlying and developing sinister thread.   Kind of like that film Falling Down.

Nice vingnette of a song.  I like that you can hear your frustration bubbling under in your voice.

Good work.
