Here is my take. I decided to use my Sheraton with a bit of dirt for something different.  Really inspiring playing along with Greenys vocal and trying to compliment it as much as possible.  This was really a fun thing to do, thanks to Forte8 for finding this excellent backer and Greeny for laying down such a great vocal for us to play off of.

* Based on a couple comments I have re-mixed to bring the guitar up a bit.  Thanks guys.

Superb job, lots of subtle licks and some nice ballsy ones too. I like the way you have the subtler guitar over the vox slightly offset in the mix. Like Forte8, nice playing over the piano solo in the middle as well. But those guitar solos could be a bit higher in the mix, as side effect suggests.

But great job, and love the ending as well.

Cheers,

Thanks everybody for the great feedback.  I have re-mixed to bring the guitar up a bit.  I was hesitant to bring it up too much as I didn't want to overpower Greenys beautiful vocal.  But it could have used a bit more volume, I agree.  I really had a blast doing this, and especially I am having a blast listening to all the other great versions.  This turned into a great little exercise.  It is nice to see a few other guys getting in on this also.  The more the merrier.  Tim will have a whole CD of this song with all the guitar versions for his collection.  :D

I don't know what a Sheraton is but it sure does sing.... and sing sweetly. Great playing, especially love the stuff at/near the end.
You guys are awesome with these blues. 8)

I love this. It's toneful, tuneful and it has an edgy little bite to it that matches the 'dirty' lyrics beautifully. It's top class playing - you just 'get' the blues so completely. This would stand up against anything, anywhere. That Sharaton really does the job - it's a blues machine in your capable hands.
