you can take a horse to the water but you can't make a cow walk down a staircase?

and breathe out..................
you can't see the big picture
with your blinkers on
and you won't be distracted
from what you are doing
can't you see where you're heading
there's a bend in the road
but with a little bit of luck
it'll just be a learning curve
be a learning curve
oh you're up on your high horse
out there strutting your stuff
like the lord of the manor
the king of your world
don't you hear the sniggers
or feel a lack of love
or do you see rejection
as just a learning curve
a learning curve
should i try tell you
or let you find out yourself
proffer you some guidance
only to be refused
should i throw you a lifeline
let you sink or swim
throw you in the deep end
set you on a learning curve
a learning curve etc
a learning curve

That was a nice closing to the song :) I can see my own past experiences with others in those lyrics as well.

Cool song. ...I'll take that lifeline, if you please.
"The planet does not need more successful people. The planet desperately needs more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers and lovers of all kinds."
~ Dalai Lama

Really good song - the uke gives sweetness to the delivery, but the lyric is thoughtful and very powerful. Songwriting is like breathing to you! Fine work, and I hope the message gets through.

Nice one jim I particularly like the lyrics that go
oh you're up on your high horse
out there strutting your stuff
like the lord of the manor
the king of your world
............you are indeed a great story teller and that wee uke has more than paid for itself.

I enjoyed these lyrics and understated performance quite a bit. A really good tune.
