I thoroughly enjoyed doing this tune. Ella has such a sweet voice.

Brings back a lot of memories for me. Hopefully it will do the same for you.

Wow! This is fantastic. I love the jazzy guitar and bass, and the vocals are outstanding!

Which guitar did you use? And how did you do the bass? Is it a real acoustic/upright bass or midi, for example?

Brilliant performance by both of you! I'd like to know, too how you did the bass line. It  sounds a real upright bass! Top class production as well! >piepod bound...

Thank you very much, lady and gentlemen.

I've been sitting on this song for quite a while. Just waiting for Ella to grace it with her amazing voice.

I can die happy now. On this site I have listened to, and enjoy the great pleasure of performing with the greatest musicians on earth. Maybe even the galaxy.

Well done, Ella!

Regarding the guitar and bass tracks, the guitar used is a Phantom. Made in South Korea in 1990.
Strat style body with mods I made to it myself. Powerful Dimarzio pickups and my own custom-wired tone circuitry.

I had the good fortune to have a musician friend loan me one of his upright basses for use on this song.
I chose a Christopher 3/4 size upright. A real beauty and a pleasure to play.
As acoustic basses do not sustain notes well, I didn't need to use a gate on the track. Much more natural sound.
I'd almost forgotten how much fun it is to play an upright. All the moves come right back.

Thank You Gene!  I have always loved that song and I'm so happy you asked me to sing it. You made great job with my voice too. I think this sounds somehow like music in old movie. I like it.
Your guitar-playing is so beautiful and the bass! Are You gonna tell us, is it the real one? :)
