Tommy and I decided to do this number in the style of chas and Dave,
I didn't realise this was a number on in the 70s by a duo called Brian and somebody cant remember his name.lol It must have been a one hit wonder as I never heard from them again  Thanks for listening  Alex & Tommy

This is great! Gives the original some much needed swing and swagger. Love the chat on the intro and outro (you pair of comedians!), and the whole thing is very slickly done. An off the wall idea to do this one, but works a treat. And it sounded like you boys were enjoying yourself which adds a nice vibe too.

I think I had the Baron Knights version of this when I was a kid!

Very cool version, works really well in this more uptempo style.

How do you record your vocals when the two of you are talking to each other? I am assuming that one of you records first and sends it to the other and you improvise, or do you have a script?

Anyway this is an excellent listen and the production is first class.

Nice version guys ! Remember this being out when I was a teenager into punk and hated it at the time.  Funnily enough I was once in a band with a sax player Geoff Peach who was in a band called Big Sound with Brian and Michael (who wrote & performed this) during the 60's. So ironically, they're now part of my extended Rock Family Tree !
