You may get more listens that way (although it looks like it isn't needed.)  I thought I would mention it just in case you were unfamiliar with it. It took me a while to figure out which method of streaming songs was best for me.

Thanks for the tip T.C. Elliot, as I was actually trying to figure that out before I posted this song. Im envious of the html players but couldnt find the link as per the instructional tutorial thread. Ill try more thoroughly next time.
And the guitar hot complaint is a valid one. Im still trying to figure out a decent recording method for it. Its my first  acoustic with a preamp ( its a lovely LAG French cutaway model that I fell in monkey-love with at the music store), so I appreciate all your feedback, as it confirms im singeing the singer with too hot a burner, as it were.

I'd have liked a clearer vocal in the mix and thought the overall mix was too loud. It's a great song though, different and very original.

You can top and tail a song in Audacity - it's real easy to do and free to download. You can also Normalize the track (to the standard settings) which will sort out the overall mix being too loud. I have to say I didn't notice the clicks as I was too busy trying to sort the volume out!

Hilary, thanks for the info. I think the problem for me is im using my mobile for most of the time except uploading, so im not able to see the features youre indicating. Ill get in the computer for it next time, I think. I am moved to try and re-record Magdalene to get better guitar sound, a thing my lovely-voiced girlfriend is dreading because she worked long on the harmony tracks. I may just use
her originals and re-dub my part not to lose her efforts.
I am especially hratified of your compliments, having heard your aesthetic witty/silliness and overall qualities, I think maybe more than anyone else I can think of (me being a newb to this forum), your kind comments are the most valueable

Anyways, I recently disowned the headaches of using SoundCloud and have moved our stuff to Bandcamp. Less hassle for those trying to listen SoundCloud prompts you to d/l their app, or no go. Kinda stupid, that.
The last thing a musician needs is a hurdle put between him and his audience.
