inspired by johnbee's post today (and some other folk in my real and virtual lives),

so  a song for my other half.

i let a drum track play on my pc and recorded this live in the cupboard under the stair. on ukelele and vocals plus you can hear the other half on the phone to her pal. recording of everything was done in one go, is very noisy lots of bum notes. but sung and played from the heart.
pics taken today, typical scottish summer, we got a soaking and there ain't no sunshine.

Very cool version, and like the echo effect on the vocal which fills out of the sound nicely and adds a real nice ambience.

The background noise kind of fitted in perfectly ;) :D

I absolutely love this, love the Song, the sentiment in the song...love the way you have recorded it...makes it real. Id love to be able to record and produce professional results but I don't think I ever will........theres something about the immediacy of something like this.....I know you sang this from the heart because its the way I feel about my Lass, the fact we can hear her in the background gives it that something special ( I was gonna say Je nes se quois but got no idea how to spell it) so something special will have to do.....fantastic ..plus you have a Spaniel and got wet taking him out, ps apologies if he is a she..... I enjoyed listening....

This is the way to get it done, how many folks could pull off a recording so quick and rough and make it sound so damn good...........beautiful man, and I just got in from walking my doggie too.....nice and warm and sunny on this side of the Atlantic today......have to enjoy it can change tomorrow

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

Apologies to Barney....Taffie my Springer is always getting mistaken for a lady, they are just to too good looking.....really enjoyed the song, and that you and your lady are smiling whilst getting wet.....if us Northerners didn't smile when it rained we would be up that creek without a paddle...ps say Hi to your Wife....she looks to be a good un, and I know because its was my Anniversary yesterday....and my wife still puts up with me, Ive got a funny feelin you might just be a tad like me....so your wife like mine is worth her weight in gold....and I can hear that in the way you sing this song.....ps you will probably not believe this but I havnt found my voice yet...ie cant let go when anyone is around....maybe If I start doin Val Doonican stuff...lol

Nice little tribute to the missus, James - yah old smoothie, you. Smooth vocals (yah smoothie), and I like how the uke fits with that drum pattern! Background audio adds considerably to the moment.

I envision you as the mad scientist under the stairs. Of course, I suppose you could be off for Hogwarts as well.

Lovely post.  You are fearless.
