Hi all, still playing with Garageband.  Hope you enjoy.  Willie

Sitting on a riverbank just trying to get in touch with me,
But me was out so I just listened to the silence.
I saw me just the other day in a mirror so I that he's still here
But he just hides away and laughs at me and all my fears.

Ooh I watch the stars at night sometime
Ooh I'm Seaching for new life
Ooh but no-one reaches me in time
I'll look again when I feel better.

Hanging on the telephone just trying to talk to me
But me just hung up and walked away.
I need someone to talk to, I need help now, can't you see
It doesn't really matter what you say.

Chorus

Standing in a crowded room the seats have all been taken
No-one says a single word in case they are mistaken
One by one they're taken out I really don't know quite where
I really ought to know but I don't really care

Nothing wrong with Garageband. It works just fine for me too. Great work here, trying to think of something it reminds me of.. Tom Petty maybe? Melody is great in the verses and builds the tension nicely for the chorus. Great vocal too.

I really liked that guitar solo that started before 4:00.  The tone and phrasing was good and fit really well. Nicely done.

Wonderfully melodic song Willie, those synths provide a smooth and serene backdrop.

Liking those quick little chord changes between each line in the chorus too, and bringing in the harmonies gives it a real nice separation from the verses.

The bridge/middle 8 part is perfectly placed and builds up nicely to the first solo which sounds very tasty!

Nice one!

Lovely song, your voice is sounding as good as ever, always keeps me captivated with its rich tones. There is a real sublime relaxed flow to your music. Well done!
