okay - only 5 lessons in. This is where I'm at - warts (mistakes) and all. Kinda difficult to get my thumb working independently - but no pain, no gain and all that. Also, my ability to finger pick decreases exponentially from turning on the record button! Oh why, oh why ....

Should add (for those who don't know me) that I've been playing for a long time, but always amazed by fingerpickers - so decided to take some lessons to learn the technique. I have been playing like a novice (and swearing quite a bit, particularly when my right hand turns into knots - and where is my pick ....), but taking lessons has been a real kick up the backside that I needed, to help me learn and improve. Something that we should all do.

Very confident playing! I also have been trying to learn fingerpicking -- but without lessons. Even with lessons, I think I'm well more than five lessons from playing as well as you have.

I particularly love the string bends.

Super excellent.  I have dabbled with this song before, but never kept at it long enought to get it to flow.......you got the flow here , hell yes.........I love me some fingerstyle........it's the only way I play now.........I forgot how to hold a pick........beautiful job, keep at it.   The independent thumb thing is the key to the whole thing, work that thumb.

Very nice and free flowing playing.

Liking them string bends too and the hammer-ons, and it sounded pretty precise and good to me.

Sounds if the hard work is paying off and this is a hell of a start!
