Asking for Help from My Songcrafters Brethren - A Form of Music Trivia

I thought it might be amusing to do a bit of musical trivia between medleys at our next gig. I'm going to play snippets of cover songs via the little AKAI sampler (review in another thread). I'm looking for unusual covers by well-known artists. A lot of what I'm coming up with is too obscure, so I need some help. The more diverse the genres of the versions, the better.

This is where my head is at with this:

Miles Davis doing M. Jackson's "Human Nature"

The Isley Brothers doing T. Rundgren's "Hello It's Me"

Badlands doing J. Taylor's "Fire and Rain"

Johnny Cash doing Soundgarden's "Rusty Cage"

Toad the Wet Sprocket doing Kiss's "Rock n Roll All Nite"

Thanks.

I looked at the Rush EP, but they were a tad too close to the originals for what I want to do.

Thanks again.

I've always liked this cover of The Beatles' "Across the Universe" by Fiona Apple. And the video is awesome!
