THE CLOUDS ARE GOING BLACK
The clouds are going Black
The clouds are going Black
The clouds are going Black
she ain't ever coming back
all the clouds are going Black oh

wheres she gone
whats she need
why she's running
whats she need
she found herself an addiction
it's broke her apart at the seams
she's breaking down
she's coming undone
she's on the run
from no one

all the clouds are going Black
all the clouds have gone Black
she ain't coming back
she ain't coming back
she ain't coming back
she ain't coming back

what she need i can't give her
what she needs, is love
but i can't accept
the way she's acting
the things she done
since she's been gone
since she got addicted
since i got afflicted
i can't deal
with what she's done
all the clouds have gone Black
all the clouds have gone Black
all the clouds have gone Black
she ain't coming back
the clouds have gone
Black she ain't coming back

the clouds are going Black
the clouds are going Black
she ain't coming back
they gone Black
they gone Black
the skies gone Black
she's not coming back

Love it right from the start. The acoustic is 'Zeppy' but also stunning and soulful. And love the slight swirl on the vocal that pans across the soundscape like a howling, tormented wind. This is really stunning. Just a voice and a guitar... the perfect combo when it's done right. Love the title too. And the 'live' sound of the guitar - so tasty!

T.C. Elliott

I'll be honest, I didn't pick up on the Zeppelin-esque acoustic vibe until I read it in the last post. But I think I agree now that it's hit my brain. Even a little in the vox. But really, this is a pretty cool song of its own. I don't think you can point and say it came from THERE! Good vocal performance and I liked the guitar, too.

Very cool song, and  loving the ambience and power of the vocal.

The strummed acoustic sounds great and the nice little riffing embellishments add an extra flavour.

You da man, or should that be men? ??? ;D
