"Personal Space" a Hook original for Dronefest

So this was written & performed on this here mystery instrument




I have no idea what it is. A teacher at a school I perform at often found it at a yard sale and gave it to me. It was tuned like this and I performed this live in my sunroom this evening with the windows open, The crickets & frogs would be drone #1 & there is also a small bubbling fountain in that live track, drone #2. I then did 2 stereo tracks of animoog drones.

An interesting instrument with an interesting sound. I did a bit of research and I believe it's probably an African Harp. Looks like the shrunken head fell off yours. Maybe it rolled under the bed. Better have a look before you go to sleep tonight.

Cant see the images...but the instrument sounds great as does the song......Im still finding my way around..it will probably take some time, seein as how I have lived where Im livin at the moment and still get lost when I open front door.....Im going to attempt to upload a song last time I dit it ended up on Facebook...lol think Im going to enjoy getting to know your music....ps many typos will appear I leave them in please add words where appropriate....collaboration in comments.....sounds good to me..

I love this, it is original and familiar at the same time. The harp thing has a really great tone and I would like to hear what more you can come up with, with this instrument.

That is a pretty clear sound from your African Harp. But I really like the sound of the vocals over it. The drones (electronic ones) were really subtle but without that bit the track would feel more empty. I almost didn't notice them till the end, but going back and listening I think it's a very well used track (or two.) Pretty minimalist song but it works all the better for it.

Cool! Very strange instrument indeed ... but you managed to not only to play it (myself I could not do it) but to also made a song with it ! That's pretty creative!
