Another song added to the EP draft. Took a nice, purely slow blues direction with this one and I love it.

I don't know what it is but this electric version is bugging me, so I decided to do an acoustic rendition. Tell me which one you prefer.

As said JJ Cale in one of his recent song, "The blues is not a song you sing, it is a way of life"...

Superb voice, very soft anf full of soul
Always fine guitar licks when listening to you

1) the Electric version. I liked it a lot. I thought the added second guitar was okay but maybe not perfectly positioned to add a lot to the demo. Yeah, I realize it's a demo, too. I still liked it quite a bit.

2) The acoustic version. I liked this too, but to be honest I think I liked the electric version a bit better. But here is a thought, how about beginning with the acoustic and then leading in with the electric? Of course these are demos, right? You're just checking out possibilities or planning a larger recording project?

I'm hearing the acoustic to start, with a bit of single note lines with the rhythm tone of the first demo and then giving away to the purely electric guitar in the first version. Maybe with an acoustic single note lines toward the end? Too cheesy? I don't know. Just what I would try. It might fail.  But either way the song is stellar, the performance is good and you couldn't go much wrong using either version you have here as a template.

Thanks for the input man. I myself still honestly don't know how I might officially record this song as you are correct in saying that it is just a demo. I may mix the two, but again the EP would be primarily acoustic, so for the EP's sake I would generally record it acoustically to make sure it fits well with the others. That doesn't mean I won't ever bust out a 339 and play it electrically live, but for the recording, I may go acoustic. Still don't know though  ;).
