With a nod to the Reg's version here already, here's my Since I've Been Loving You.

When I was first fumbling my way into teaching myself the guitar in the early 80's, I turned to Zep III for examples and I've always been a bit obsessed with the riffs and solo's on this song.  I'm pleased with how they turned out.

The song comes in a shade under 8 minutes.  I'm very pleased with the coda so please stay the course.  It's a bit like a brontosaurus - thin at one end, much, much thicker in the middle, and then thin again at the far end.

I was never not going to do this song and I hope you enjoy it.

Man, that's some serious guitar skills! I really didn't know you could play like this. But it's the attention to detail, clarity and ambition of the production that really blew me away. It's so on the money. And that piano fade out... that was downright gorgeous. This is an outstanding cover!

A beauty of a job your guitar skills shine through and the old the old key playings not too shabby either...great cover Zep on!!

Thanks both

I should have said that everything except for guitar and vocal is pieced together in GarageBand.

Guitar is my Tokai Breezysound (tele) recorded into GB using Apogee Jam interface and using the 'Bell Bottom Rock' amp sim in GB (and 'Cool Jazz Combo' for the clean parts).  Vocal is using the iPhone internal mic.

I've been playing about with this song for so long, it's pretty much muscle-memory playing.  Saying that I had to figure out the arppegiated parts in the chorus, I used a capo for those.

Oooh yeah - the track has been put together with great expertise, as always. The guitar sounds amazing. Congrats.

Hot damn - that was impressive as hell, Nick. Sounds like you learned very well listening to Led Zeppelin III. This is so well put together, and your playing and production of it is stellar.

Was that a Monty Python nod?

Super nice cover. Some very nice playing in there.

Well we've spoilt here, having this and Reg's wonderful versions of this song, both very different but both equally as good.

The attention to detail and the time spent on this is so evident here, there isn't one individual part that isn't outstanding in it's own right and yeah......where you been hiding them guitar skills you old darkhorse! :o :o

You captured the ebb and flow of the original perfectly and that piano ending was delicious!

Right up there with some of the best covers I have heard on this site, it is off the scale good
