A new song of ours, demoed by Nigel Cuff...

Lyrics:

You put me out
on some country road.
You drove away.
The taillights glowed.

Had to zip up my jacket tight
and walk on through the night.

I searched in vain.
I searched in vain.
Hoping to change your mind,
I really thought I could find
where you had gone
but I searched in vain.

No cars came by –
not a soul around.
And the wind on the wires
made a mournful sound.

It took awhile to learn
that you would never, ever return.

I searched in vain.
I searched in vain.
Hoping to change your mind,
I really thought I could find
where you had gone
but I searched in vain.

Really good job on this! The music track is well produced and balanced. Your vocal delivery is top class! Liked the lead guitar additions on the chorus!

Superb bit of catchy rock. I agree with the previous comment making a comparison with The Cars. Great dynamic shift between the verses & chorus parts. Really pro sounding production. Loved every second of this :)

I really like the chorus. That guitar that comes in and the melody dropping on "in vain" in that first line just killed me. I loved that bit.
