Hi everyone I was given a link to the site by a good friend, her partner is on here. Im John..an Artist ..painting drawing etc....when I was 16, long time ago I bought a guitar, it lived under the bed until I sold it didn't think Id be able to play like Hendrix..et al so didn't try. One day many years after.... Im starting to feel a bit like one of the Brothers Grimm....if I start the next line with once upon a time...hit me..:-) as I was saying once...:-)  :DI saw a three quarter classical guitar in a Junk shop and something made me buy it.  Started to learn through the internet and just playing, the things I use to record are a bit weird in fact ill use anything...mics from Asda little micro cassette recorders etc....I now have a Sony Video which isn't bad, and an Ipad which I love but still like the ready made found object approach I suppose its my Art influence...love Synchronicity and Chance plays a big part in what I do.  I have written songs but I now tend to sing and play and make it up as I go along.  I love to play Blues for obvious reasons, the story telling and humour plus the fact you can play even if your not a brilliant musician....My musical taste is so varied it easier to say I don't have any, I listened to John Peel for years and thank him for not letting my love of music get stuck in one era or genre..I suppose my stuff is pretty Surreal...Da Da Blues...Oh just before I go I have just made my first Diddley Bo guitar from an old garden bench and other odds and ends out of the shed etc...had to relent and buy Tuning pegs but its now ready to go and as soon as I post this Im gonna give it a shot...maybe a good idea to learn how to play, but that will possibly take forever so Im jst gonna do something...maybe it will be my introductory offering for the group...looking to getting to know everyone and more importantly hearing some good and interesting music...catch you all later John...didn't realise I could attach a file or I would have done this later and added a song..oh well at least I know where to post my first one now...lol
