I'm really interested in traditional British folk music, and I really like this. The combination of drone and recorder is beautiful. Seriously impressive recorder skills! You should add the vocal too :-)

Many thanks. There are two reasons why I don't have vocals on this recording. First and foremost, the key it's in takes the melody above the comfortable of the range of my voice. Secondly, although the variants are all based on either the original verse or chorus melodies, they are all slightly different and would not necessarily fit with the words. The first two variants are basically the original verse and chorus melodies. The rest all vary them in some way. OTOH, they would make a good basis for countermelodies in a vocal recording to make for more interesting accompaniment in quite a long song.

Recording the song would be a good future project and I am seriously considering it.
