Well this was a real challenge for me to play on the uke, but I got through it . . . eventually.

Very intimate performance, Hilary! The uke goes perfectly with your vocals. This song is one of my favorites from the Bacharach & David catalog.

Somebody needs to say it: BacharachFest? :)

I'm really trying. I'm trying to do covers I wouldn't normally attempt (I think I had to learn about 90% of the chords for this one and there are lots of chords). But there's definite improvement (my previous cover Zing! went the strings, I couldn't play 2 months ago and I at least got through it now).

Here's the thing, when you have to concentrate so hard on the chords, the vocals just take care of themselves . . . but I'd love to redo them sometime on the Rode, preferably without me playing :D

Love this song and Bacharach generally, and this is a really good cover. The deliver is so pure and unpretentious, and the minor uke chords have a nice bitter-sweet edge. So good!

Wasn't sure if we were getting this song or the ABC song of the same name.  This is a brilliant song though (I'm glad it was this one) and you've done a lovely rendition; simple and transparent and all the better for it.  Your playing is uke'ing marvelous (enough with the uke puns).

Bacharach & David songs are my idea of great, great songwriting

Hook

Great song choice, it really suits you & that's some mighty fine finger picking. Really nice performance.

Very nicely done. I liked the contrast between the two parts of the song with sparse strums contrasted with the picked accompaniment.
