Guitars lessons

So, after playing self taught for 35 years - I'd thought I'd take some lessons. First one last night, working on finger picking on the acoustic. Never managed to separate out thumb from fingers. Learned lots, but requires some deconstruction of your own technique, and a little strange being forced to play things out of your comfort zone, and feeling a bit of a novice. Sometimes you have to go back to go forward!

You don't need guitar lessons Bruno - I need guitar lessons, from you!

Still if it means you getting your Brook out more often, it's all good :D

That's cool brother! I have often thought about taking classical guitar lesson but know I don't have the time to devote to really practicing. I commend you my friend.

Hook - finding time & motivation to practice is the difficult part, but we shall see. I got a lot from lesson 1, and can play something today that I couldn't yesterday. So we shall see, nothing ventured, nothing gained .... :-)

lessons are always worth it. Helps you to at least look at your technique, modify if necessary, pick up a bit of inspiration along the way.

Mentoring - it's osmosis.

I absolutely agree with this.  I started late and therefore I've been a mature age guitar student.  I have learnt  a huge amount that I would have not been aware of.  I have held on to the things that I'm most interested in and have forgotten a lot of it but lesson have given me confidence and helped my creativity.
