Everybody I know personally who comes out to see me finds out through my girlfriend's Facebook posts.

Yep Facebook means a lot if your an artist (and Twitter), I get a lot of gigs via independent promoters on Facebook forums.

My website's good to go - I'm going to sleep on it and see what tomorrow brings. After it's published, can I add a news archive page? I'd like one but unfortunately have no news to archive at the moment - I'm ever hopeful though!

UK domain names - 123-reg or name.com.

.com names are more expensive but where do you play?

seriously, you should be able to get space and content for less than £20 per year.

If not, send me a PM and I'll make some money out of you....  :)

I suppose your right but I'm still resisting it. I have a facebook fan page for the other me & I just haven't seen it
really helping me much. As far as gigs for me as Hook go, I'm really only interested in the venues that have their own clientele and not counting on me bringing in a few friends (cause they aren't coming!) I'm not doing cover gigs to build a following, I'm looking for a paycheck!

That's the other way to go, is to pay someone else that knows what they are doing. i don't mind spending the money, I just don't want to be ripped off by Wix. The irony is, that i think the website I've done looks really good!
