Amazing !!

where to begin
Your vocals are a perfect fit for this song, the lyrics, the phrasing, even the little laugh in the line
"If not for bad I wouldn't have any luck,".

The understated guitar and piano really brings the focus to the vocal and the lyrics,
right where it should be. Great storytelling.

I would move this from your "working on" playlist to your "my best songs" playlist.
I wouldn't change a thing, this really works and like others have said it gives me goosebumps,
that's how you know it's real good.

Outstanding song.

Man, I just played this three times in a row, and was more amazed with each listen. Fantastic song, Nelson - you firing on all cylinders with this one. Love the arrangement, your vocals, the story - the works.

I agree with ORH. That's some vocal tone you've got there.
I like the way the song seems somehow distant & that tinkling piano is a killer.

Great song :)

Thx for stopping by for a listen. That little laugh wasn't intentional but I must have been really into it that day.
I contemplated removing it but decided since it wasn't planned and happen organically, what the hell I'll leave it in.

You guys are giving me goosebumps.   :)

Cuthbert
Good to hear from you man. I'm really glad you liked it.

Hey Bud, thx for swinging by. I was a bit apprehensive about posting it because of its length but I figured hell, they can't execute me,  O0  but the response has been much better than I expected.

Hahahahahaha  You caught it, eh?
To make short story shorter, the file was too large for my free reverbnation account, so I chopped off the last verse, where he meets the pretty little lady crying under the tree.  :)

I listen to your song for the first time... and I think you made a true beauty : great songwriting, fine progression of instruments during all the song

The piano intro is delicate...

Your vocals come and you sing with mixed emotion and roughness in the voice

At 1:30, your guitar play so discretly and just the notes the song need

The drums and subtle percussion are cool, the harmony vocals are great, so well sung
The discrete electric guitar lines make me think about JJ Cale

What a beautyful listen!
