Finally put strings on the dulcimer last night and heard this song coming out of it within minutes of strumming. It's pretty simple, thus quite intuitive as far as the left hand is concerned & very enjoyable to play. This was done today LITLR (+1 vocal harmony) in my wifes Dodge Grand Caravan , the Chryslers been in the shop over a week now. Lots of $$$ into an old car, very unhappy Hook! Out of anger & disgust I'm no longer using the Chrysler300 Studios moniker! So this is the 1st recording from GuerillaHook Studios (Finding the Hook everywhere!)
1 dulcimer/vocal (stereo)
1 harmony vocal

Hook, your car is broken.  The steering wheel is on the wrong side!

The dulcimer sounds great and this is a great cover of a great song.

I like playing this on piano.

Well done!

That dulcimer sounds sitar-sweet. Love the pure, tender simplicity of your delivery. Works so well on this great song. So nicely done.

Been looking forward to this one...

Great choice of song, Hook - you can't beat the diatonic fretboard on a dulcimer if you want to match up with the white piano keys, such as were used in the original song. And of course the drones on a dulcimer. The DRONES! :)

The new dulcimer sounds (and looks) sweet! Great vocals, too - always loved that break ("you just call, lonely brother when you need a friend"), and you nailed it.

Caravantastic! Chime on! :)

EDIT: err, Lean On^, that is...  ;D

What a lovely sound that dulcimer makes in your hands, and how well it lends itself to this classic.

I'm right with you on the Hook GuerillaStudios. Maybe we can set you some challenges?

Lovely track. I'm sitting listening in bliss.

Raid On.
