Fuzzy uke?

Has anyone had success applying effects to uke?
Are there any songs posted on this site that I missed with distorted or otherwise adulterated uke sounds?

(Thanks for participating in my justification process for buying a uke with a built-in pickup).

Hook is The Edge of the uke.

And he doesn't wear any underwear.

You can run it through the electric guitar patches on the 80 (if I remember correctly Funkyaxe was good). IMO it sounds a lot better distorted than recorded directly and I think the acoustic guitar patches suck for uke on the 80 - just have a play and see what you like the best.

Not sure it's any help because I'm trying to get exactly the opposite to you (a clean uke sound) but it may be of some help https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=20784.msg255245#msg255245

Yes, I've used effects on both acoustic ukes & my Epiphone Les Paul uke with a pick up. I love the way the uke takes to effects. The 1st track I did with a distortion track & a phaser track is here https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=14855. It's an acoustic uke through the MBR on board mic with the guitar effect patches used, I think it turned out pretty cool but you need a very quiet recording space. The suction cup pick up pictured in the thread is excellent and very cheap, immediate gratification for under $15. Or just fork out for the uke but for what its worth, the uke & effects rock.

I personally think the best clean uke sound will come from using a mic. When you plug in you are really getting the sound of the pick up & I find it always sounds kinda electric. I like the pick up for live use & recording effected but when I want a nice ukulele sounding uke I mic it.

Nothing gets the creative juices flowing like a new instrument, get the uke!
Rock On!
