Johnny Robbo

Hello chaps!

I've been a member of another forum for a while & some of the guys there mention this site quite a bit, so I thought I'd come and introduce myself here. Just a quick look at the boards reveals a lot of familiar names - thetworegs & fenderbender to name but a couple.

My name is John & I live on Teesside, in the north east of England. Us natives of Teesside refer to ourselves as "smoggies" due to the slightly dubious air quality here courtesy of the local heavy industry. I'm a full time guitar teacher & recording musician. I don't do the live thing much these days as it's difficult to make it pay. Musically, I'm a bit of a journeyman - I'm on a bit of a jazz kick at the moment, but my back catalogue consists of everything from progressive rock to blues to funk via country & classic rock.

Equipment-wise, I'm a big fan of Vintage guitars - my main guitars are a V6 strat-a-like & a AV3 semi, usually (actually, always if I'm honest) played through a Vox Tonelab straight into the desk.

I'm looking forward to sharing and listening to new music with you chaps.

Cheers,

John.
