I would seriously consider such a recorder if I didn't already have the BR900.  My 1600 is sitting here collecting dust. I don't use it at all. I'm seriously thinking of selling it off. The idea of recording drums all at once onto separate tracks is enticing, but I don't like the layout or the processes. I have a feeling I would like it better if I didn't have the 900 here with all my old habits easily accessible.
