Wow!  A very musical and interesting composition and performance.  Love the playful double meanings with some of the lyrics (The rhythm of life... just when you think you've got it figured out, you're out of time)  And plenty of ear candy with the mixed instrumentation.  Masterful use of The Silver Brick.

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

Happy Greeny Monday! :)

Love the melancholy feel to it, greatly enhanced by the TJ cello (love the trumpets, too...they have a Spanish feel to them that always brings 'Forever Changes' to my mind). Yes, you gotta laugh...

And wow, what a stonking good lead at the end!

Cool song Greeny. Love the psychedelic flow to it. Superb arrangement.

It's your words - that's what's special, the imagery, the metaphor,

And the music, that's what special, the setting of the mood, the emotional journey,

The playing, that's what's special, the delivery, the drawing in of the ingenue, the unfolding of the story in a conspiratorial way./

That's what's special - the whole bloody lot, I love your songs Tim

Oh, man, this is a bit good. I mean, really good. Everything works so well, sounds fucking A 1. Just another winner, from the world-sprout-long-mind of Mr Green...love it...
