Jeff Beck coming to Ireland. Yippee!!!

Got myself 2 tickets (one for the missus)!! He's got to be one of the few guitar gods left alive, i thought, so with that at the back of my mind i purchased my tickets. Good value he is too, think they were about €40 each (at the back, but up on balcony seating though, shouldn't be too bad, small enough venue).

He really is an original on the old axe.

Magic is a good way to sum it up. Went last night to Dublin Olympia and saw him. Legend.

He walked onstage, did his stuff for about 2hrs and walked off. Unbelievable. I think he is seventy years of age or maybe more. The music he came out with was breathtaking, he was at the very edge of musical boundaries, marrying up loads of styles. And heavy as shit as well, not slowing down or getting mellower because of age. Yes there was a few hypnotic chill type tracks too though which were also amazing.

The only thing is how long more can he do shows like that, can't be that much longer sadly. Glad to say i saw a true rock legend who is still alive and some.

If anybody gets a chance to see him... go!!!!!
