Almost a Greeny monday offering, but my poxy job interfered.

This is the first song I've done since I was a teenager that features a Casio VL-Tone 'Rock 1' rhythm. There's not much on this one: A layer of Telecaster, Bass, Casio, and my 'toy' Yamaha portasound keyboard from the 80's. All recorded on the MBR, with a sound clip added in Audacity (from a 70's / 80's quiz show called 'Ask the Family').

Sparse and lazy.

lyrics..........

I love boredom
i never did but now i do
i love boredom
it's the watching paint dry thing to do

i love boredom
boredom

it's the antimacassar, slow clock ticking room
it's the end of the party litter and balloons
and no alcohol to liven up the moon

a boring song to bore the pants off you

I love boredom
i could give the world a masterclass
i love boredom
the trouble is i can't be arsed

i love boredom
boredom

it's the antimacassar, slow clock ticking room
it's the end of the party litter and balloons
and no alcohol to liven up the moon

a boring song to bore the pants off you
and i really want to bore the pants off you

Such a cool song ... doesn't matter what you write about ... it's always good.

Least of all boring ... the separation, mix, casio and playing sounds so good together.

Ohh ... and the lyrics and vox are perfect too ... very catchy ... excellent tune.

Ah, it's a great Greeny Tuesday. Love the VL-Tone, and how you kept it all interesting :) - your lyrics and vocals are always a treat.

Thats a bass line, got my head spinning around, very Beatles feeling, a White album kind of ditty.  Really sounds good, I could loop this one all day.

cool recording greeny. I like how clear and how separated everything is. that's what I am striving for.

Hook

Vey cool tune, I dig that bass line and the harmony vocals are spot on. That casio brings back some great memories & really creates a retro feel...so retro it's modern & hip.
Rock On!

Because the Hook brings you back
I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back
On that you can rely

God does that bring back the memories, that Casio rhythm track just takes me back straight to the eighties.
