What a great techno vibe you have created!  I wouldn't know where to begin making a song like this.  The whole thing sounds great, well put-together, sophisticated and light-hearted at the same time...

The Synthmeister strikes again!  Really well done Nick! Love all the synthy sounds, a cracking cover.

Mostly they're GarageBand synths; there's a lot of good capability in that thing.

The reedy one under the vocal is from a softsynth called DXi, which is an FM synthesis modelling synth, like a Yamaha DX7.  I sampled that into GB and then programmed the melody.

The snare sound is sampled from another softsynth, Alchemy, which is an awsome tool.  The rest of the drums are GB.

I had to do that phrase six times in all!  As I say though, to indignity and beyond! The mix needs looking at; they're way too forward.
