I'm a multi track recorder addict also Hook! I've barely scratched the surface of  the new Tascam DP 008ex when another stupid deal came along for a DP 32 for $399. I've been looking at the Zoom 24 as an upgrade to replace my aging Fostex VF160 for some time now but this came along.  Besides being able to record at 24 bit vs 16 I found the DP 008 real easy and intuitive to use so I figured the DP 32 is just it's bigger brother. Plus having 16 more tracks should serve me well for quite a while.  So I hit the buy button and it got here last week but I haven't had time to even un-box it yet.....I'll open it up this weekend and give it a whirl

So now I have a Fostex FD8, Fostex VF160, Zoom H2, DP 008, and now a DP 32. Ok, now I need to check into a multi track rehab center, lol.

I've added recorder icons for the Tascam DP-008EX, Fostex FD-8, Tascam DP-32, and Tascam DP-24. See the following guide:

Or, if you'd like me to add recorder icons to your signature for you, send me a PM telling me which ones you want and I'll be happy to add them. Let me know if any need to be removed too (ie; you sold them or seldom use them anymore).

The guide above also has icons for software DAWs.

I saw that deal and that's super cool for you. I've been looking at the DP24 for whenever I get an actual studio in my house again & am very anxious to find out how the DP008 works in conjunction with the DP32.

So I picked  up the DP-008 this afternoon & only had about 30 min. to play around this afternoon. I did manage to get a decent uke track down with the stereo mics and they sound pretty darn good & the reverb seems to be good quality too. I plan on adding drums and whatever else comes to me tomorrow. I love a new multitracker!!!!!!!
Rock On!

And here is the Tascam DP32 all set up on the desk beside my tried and true Fostex VF160. I'll keep the VF160 as a backup but I've packed away the Fostex FD8.

Crikey Farrell, you have a full-on studio.  Do you just record yourself with all that stuff, or do you produce/record others as well?
