Thanks again for listening everyone, hopefully i can poke my head in more often and listen to your wonderful music creations as well!!   The keyboard work was using my old Yamaha PSR-gx76 plugged into my computer and using Ableton Live 9 for the synth sounds.   Getting the midi cable to work nearly drove me nuts, until i reversed the IN & OUT's so IN was OUT, and OUT was IN lol. .. then it worked great.
