Griffin's Lament (string quartet)

Having heard the excellent composition Geir just put up using the IPad App called "Notion", i just had to have a go myself.  Got the APP and very quickly realized its much harder than it looks (isn't it always).  I tried out 2 things, scrapped them both, just random noisy nonsense.  Then a small tragedy occurred, the next door neighbours dog got very sick and had to be put down, a beautiful little Pug named Griffin.  We really loved that little dog, dog-sat him many times.  I thought about him and started back in very simple.........this is the result.......in Griffins memory........may he rest in peace in doggy heaven.

Very cool App, you write the score and the APP plays it using sampled instruments.

 shame about griffin. we sit a pug called rex,he is a  great little dog, my cocker spaniel barney, just get's the horn for him. poor rex, so when we sit him, barney get's put in the back garden.

anyway back to the tune, the app, the ipad.

you guys are giving me gas. i want to do that. love who it all resolves at the end.

Arrgghhh! More stuff to rob me of my time - Ace tune Dave, well actually it's a bit dark as you would expect a lament to be - but as a lament it's ace. 

That still sounds wrong....

Ahhhhh that is beautiful Dave. You really got a hang of that app fast.

Love the mournful melodic feel and slow rhythm as if it strides slowly on to doggy heaven.

I'm so tempted to get Notion but still researching it.
You make it sound really good, as did Geir.

But do I have this correct, at it simplest form, you can put notes on the lines
and the program plays what you compose?

And it comes with some instruments.
