  • Open Windows Explorer (Click "Start" and "Computer").
  • Right-click on the "BOSS_BR-800 f;" icon and click "Rename".
  • Edit the name to remove the " f;" and press "Enter".
  • Click the "Continue" button on the permissions dialog.

That should do the trick. But if it doesn't, you could try this alternative method:

  • First, determine what the drive letter is for your memory card (D:, E:, F:, etc.) in Windows Explorer.
  • Go to a Command Prompt (Start / All Programs / Accessories / Command Prompt).
  • Type label x: "BOSS_BR-800" where "x" is the letter that Windows has assigned to your memory card. For example, if your memory card is drive E:, then you'd type label e: "BOSS_BR-800"
  • Press the ENTER key to accept the command you've typed.

That's it. Your memory card should now have the correct volume name and BR Wave Converter should have no trouble recognizing it as a valid BR memory card.

Note: Depending on the privileges of your account, you might have to login as Administrator for these methods to work.

No luck 64, It comes up with access denied do not have sufficient priviliges, you have to invoke this utility running in elevated mode.
But thanks anyway I will put my original card back, I did not buy the current one it is one someone gave me I thought it would be good being 8k   cheers    Alex

Yes, that's what I meant when I said you might have to login as Administrator.

Here's a page that describes an easy way to start a command prompt as an administrator without having to logout then log back in as Administrator.

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc947813%28v=ws.10%29.aspx

Once you get to the command prompt, try the second method I gave you (label x: "BOSS_BR-800").

A somewhat more drastic thing to try.

Backup your song files then reformat your 8GB card in the BR800, then restore the song files to the reformatted card. I'm not sure about the exact procedure for backing up the song files but I would have thought it would just be a matter of copying them to a folder on your hard drive then copying them back to the reformatted card. Maybe someone else can answer that last one for certain.
