Maybe you should try coming home sober one night ;)
Great song my brothers, very nice track 64, that guitar does sound quite acoustic & loved the flute!
Another fine vocal my Old Rotten Friend!

Thanks for the comments everyone. It was a fun song to do.

I plugged the Godin's piezo output directly into the BR-864's guitar input, then selected one of the Acoustic preset patches, like I always do. But there may be a couple of minor things I did differently. First, I put on a new set of strings just a couple of days before recording this. That can make a huge difference, especially since I normally only replace individual strings when they break - so the strings were really old and dull-sounding before I replaced them. Secondly, I remember adjusting the guitar's EQ sliders for the piezo. I turned down the treble slider slightly (probably because the new strings sounded so bright) and turned up the bass slider very slightly. I don't recall which of the BR-864's five acoustic patches I used but it may have been a different one than I've used in the past. So I think all of these things contributed to making it sound a bit more acoustic than usual. But mostly I think it was the new strings.

I love tunes like this. You sure produced all the elements to make this song work 64. Love the flute too.

Yes that guitar sounds acoustic fine to me for sure. Jim`s vocals and accent are perfect. Great drinking song!!
